"Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara" Bronze statuette - unique piece

This 18th century Tibetan bronze statuette represents a Bodhisattva or an awakened being, a being who serves as a guide and support for people who are in spiritual distress. It plays the role of intermediary between Samsara (cycle of rebirths, earthly existence) and Nirvana (end of the cycle of transmigrations, rebirths, the great void). It is represented in many aspects. In the present case, with his four arms, he is named Sadaksarî - Avalokiteshvara. One of his pairs of hands is joined on his chest, the second right hand holds a mirror, the second left hand a lotus flower. He is seated on a throne decorated with a double row of lotus flowers. This piece is unique and of high quality.
